Santa Claus, I still believe in you… not just for the gifts, but for the joy in every step along the way. From the wonder in my kids’ eyes on Christmas Eve to the scent of dinner in a house full of love, I’m learning to embrace the magic — not just in the presents, but in the presence of it all. Whether it's faith, tradition, or a well-loved memory, the spirit of Santa lives in every joyful detail of life.

The Corvette wasn’t something I asked for — but now, it’s a symbol of something far more meaningful: my dad’s dreams, resilience, and the beauty of the journey. From modified gears to backroad drives and country music on the radio, this isn’t just about a car…it’s about living fully, loving deeply, and embracing the ride — wherever it leads.

2020 has been a year most will not be sad to see in the past. But, if there was a silver lining, it was all the wonderful people I’ve met. Through the restrictions, cancellations, and spontaneous ideas to make things work for the best, it’s the faithful followers and unseen smiles behind the masks that make it all worth it.

I get so many questions about our restoration process. It was a long process and we couldn’t have done it without the help of many qualified professionals. It was a lot of fun watching them bring our vision to life, but even more fun watching people use the space in so many different ways.

One of the most exciting parts of our week is when we have people visit for tours. Not only is the process easy and fun for our potential guests, but we also have such a good time guiding them through our restored schoolhouse. It is such a treasure in our hearts, and we love to see all the ways people use this space.

Generally speaking, growing a cutting garden is simpler than a traditional flower garden because you don’t have to worry (as much)  about the timing of blooms, plant size, coordination of colors, etc. The primary goal of a cutting garden is the harvest! Having fresh flowers in my home all summer long is an indulgence that I get to look forward to every week!
